- Size U.S. 8 (5 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Susan Bates Split-Lock Stitch Count Markers
- Yarn needle
- MEASUREMENTS:
- Approx 48"x 60" [122 X 152.5 cm]
- GAUGES: 15 sts and 32 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter stitch
- Square = Approx 6" [15 cm] square

Square (make 80).
Cast on 45 sts.
1st row: (WS). Knit.
2nd row: (RS). K21. Center dec. PM on last st. K21. 43 sts.
3rd row: Knit.
4th row: Knit to 1 st before marked st. Center dec. PM on last st. Knit to end of row. 41 sts.
5th row: Knit.
Rep 4th and 5th rows until 3 sts rem.
Next row: Sl1P. K2tog. psso.
Fasten off.
FINISHING:
Place Squares in 8 rows x 10 panels, orienting each square with cast on edge at bottom and right sides (SEE DIAGRAM 1). Arrange Squares so that colors transition smoothly from bottom right corner to top left corner as seen in photo (your results may vary). Sew Squares together using mattress stitch. (SEE DIAGRAM 2)
