How To Get It

The Omnigrid 8" half square triangle ruler is used to create half-square triangles for finished quilt blocks up to 8". It has seam allowance calculations included in the measurements; it is easy to manipulate for smaller triangles when quilting.

  • Used to cut half-square and quarter-square triangles; seam allowances are included in the measurements, which are based on the finished size of the quilt block
  • Use with a rotary cutter or a straight-edge blade
  • Edge markings for accurate measuring and laser cut edges for smooth, deep cutting
  • Patented double-sight lines that show up on light and dark fabrics
  • Heavy-duty durable acrylic material
  • Left- and right-hand numbering and angle system
  • (1) Cut fabric strip 1/2" larger than finished square. (2) Place dashed line of ruler tip on top edge of fabric strip, with measurement line for finished square on bottom edge of fabric. (3) Cut straight edges. Rotate ruler, realign and cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Buy I purchased two of these rulers, one for me and one for a friend. We were taking a jelly roll class and this was the suggested ruler. I ordered it online because the store did not have it. It was on sale and I also used a 20% off your purchase coupon. It worked great for this class. Since this was so easy to make I plan on making more quilts using this ruler.
