fabric does NOT slip
I prefer the "omnigrip" over the standard rulers... holds my fabric snug while cutting. Using the standard rulers I have noticed a little movement at times.

My Go To Ruler --- Love It!
I have been using this ruler for years to cut fabrics for quilts. What I love about it is the clear printing of inches as my eyesight is not so great and I can clearly see the print as it's dark enough to stand out against the clear background. This ruler truly is no stick as well as when I cut, it doesn't shift if I apply enough pressure.
This ruler is perfect for cutting strips of any size and I'd be lost without it. It's large enough for me to walk my hand down the ruler for every project that needs long lengths.

This was a replacement. My other was lost.
I have used this ruler for years. I can see the line easily for lining it up. I like the wider 8 1/2" size. I do mark my line just a smidge away with a short piece of tape at each end so I can remember my correct measurement easily and not have to look for the number each time I cut.

Great ruler
I love this ruler. Since getting it I use it all the time. I really like that it doesn't slip and the 8 1/2 width really helped with my last quilt for cutting all my strips.
