You'll see colors accurately and fine print and details with ease under this unique low heat, low glare illumination that helps reduce eyestrain. To make sure you are purchasing the correct replacement bulb, please see information below.
  • ONLY FOR OttLite 24W LAMPS: This replacement lightbulb is designed to fit only into 24W OttLite lamps. Please ensure that this is the exact bulb needed for your specific lamp.
  • True colors, clear details and reduced eyestrain
  • Low-heat, low-glare illumination
  • Energy efficient bulb rated to last up to 10,000 hours (Replacement bulb type C)
  • Look at your existing bulb. You may find the following model numbers marked on the base of the bulb: B24556, T40J34, PL24-C. These will be the same as this replacement bulb for your 24W lamp.
  • The 24W replacement tube is approximately 12.75 inches long. Measure your shade and/or bulb you are replacing to check the length. If it is shorter than 12.75 inches, you will need a different bulb.
  • Here is a list of OttLite lamp model numbers that use the 24W replacement tube: 823WG4-FFP, 823WG4 (Joann Item #7615412), L24554, 8FTPN4, K63004, K94CP3, K53CP3 (Joann Item #15013576), 845PN4 (Joann Item #17096553)
    • Electronics must be returned with a receipt and in an unopened box. Please work directly with the manufacturer if products are damaged upon purchase, or become defective within the warranty period.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Bulb Was Not The Problem! After many years my floor Ottlite floor lamp stopped working, so I immediately ordered a replacement bulb, put it in, and it still did not work. So I realized the trouble had to be in the switch and I took the lamp apart. Wow! The simple in-line switch is there, but there is also a "computer-type" board and my heart sank! I was sure that something in the board had stopped working, but I bypassed the switch and straight-wired the lamp just in case the problem was in the switch, plugged it in, and it worked!! The newer bulb is brighter than the old one! I am a happy man!

The light didn’t come on so my thought was that my lamp was in need of repair. Later, I played with the light and found it needed to be FIRMLY snapped into the socket. A small instruction to make certain the bulb is firmly seated down into the 4 pin socket would be beneficial.

Everything is much more comfortable and effective with Ottlite. I have used them for decades. I don't allow any other bulbs. Yes, I have owned several and I always travel with one. The color is pure. As a professional in film, tv, and photography I demand perfect accurate color. Most light sources are not pure color always annoying tinges, on location all have to be taken out and replaced for color shots.
