Rated 5 out of 5 by from Covington Floor Light Love my Ottlite....I can now see the stitches well enough to knit with black yarn! And I think I will be able to do cross-stitch again. I put the foot operated on/off switch on the arm of my rocking chair and can use my hands to turn or or shut off because my fool dog would hit the switch on the floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely floor lamp It is a fine value, exactly what I thought it would be, great for reading and cross stitch work. I’d recommend it to others. It was delivered earlier than first announced and was well-packaged. It’s easy to adjust and I appreciate the step-on floor button.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice lamp with a couple of flaws. This is a nice and bright, contemporary looking floor lamp. It does have two problems though. On carpet, it's easy to tip over. The stem/tubing itself also seems a bit thin (maybe this is why it's easy to tip over, I'm not sure). Second, the button to turn the lamp on/off is essentially on the floor. It is on the cord, but it is so close to the floor end that there really is no way to get it high enough to make it easy to turn it on and off at a normal height. (I did know this prior to getting the lamp, but it is still annoying. Who wants a floor lamp that you have to practically crawl on the floor to turn on and off?)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Floor Lamp - Very Versatile I needed a floor lamp to sit next to my chair which is kind of in the center of the living room. This is perfect. It is light weight but very sturdy. Love the foot pedal on/off switch. I hesitated about buying it because I found it on another site at a slightly lower cost but found a couple reviews complaining that it was hard to assemble. Now I am in my mid 70s and have significant problems with hand strength and dexterity, so figured I would need to find someone to assemble it for me - NOT NECESSARY! I had no problems putting the lamp together quickly and I am delighted with it. It is perfect as a reading lamp and I could not be happier. I don't think I will ever again buy anything but an OttLite.
