  • Spring Mini Plastic Leaves Bush (broad leaf), 1
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon, yellow, 1 1/2"x 10'-12'

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut all greenery into separate stems.
  2. Cut off all leaves from poppy stems. Cut off the unopen blooms from the Poppy stems, keeping the length of the stem attached. Cut the leaves off the Magnolia keeping the short stems on the leaves. Reattach poppy leaves directly under poppy flower heads with hot glue. Apply glue to the right side of the lower two lobes of a leaf. Wrap around the stem of the poppy to secure.
  3. Attach the Magnolia leaves onto the poppy stems. The wrong side of the leaf should face the poppy flower. Place the leaf so the tip extends beyond the top of the flower head. Secure the stem of the leaf to the stem of the poppy by floral wire spiraled around the stems. Cover wire with a spiral of floral tape.
  4. Cut apart the bundles of Daffodils and Sunflowers. Attach the individual Daffodil leaves to Daffodils so the tip of the leaves extends beyond the flower head. Place hot glue on the inside of the bottom 3/4" of the leaf and press around the stem of the Daffodil. Wrap around the glued section with floral tape.
  5. Bundle the Poppy and Magnolia together. Adjust the Magnolia leaves to wrap around the Magnolia flowers. Add other flowers and a few greenery stems to fill out the center of the bouquet. Look at the bouquet in a mirror to adjust the shape. Wrap tape around the top 1" of stems in the bundle to keep together. Spiral wire around the tape. Place beads of hot glue in the center of the bundle closest to the flower heads.
  6. Gather small sprays of Daffodils, Sunflower and greenery to add to the sides of the bouquet. Extend the length of the sprays by connecting stems lengthwise. Connect stems with floral wire spiraled around stems and cover wire with floral tape. Hold bundled sprays behind the central bouquet to locate where stems need to be bent to attach to the bouquet stem bundle. Wire and floral tape sprays to bouquet stem bundle. It may be necessary to wire some of the spray stems to single stems to keep all parts of the bouquet from moving. Use a figure eight pattern to wire spray stems to individual stems. Cover all wire sections with floral tape.
  7. Cut the ends of the bouquet handle stems to one length. The spray stems will be shorter. Wrap a tight spiral of wire over the entire handle. Cover the entire handle with floral tape. Cover the cut ends first then wrap a spiral up the handle to where the stems flare.
  8. Cut a 3" strip of ribbon. Cover the end of the handle and hot glue the ribbon in place. Add a spiral wrap around the handle starting at the wide top, closest to the flowers. End the ribbon on the underside of the handle.
  9. Cut a length of ribbon and tie a bow on the handle, under the bouquet, close to the flowers.
