Not Very Black
The black button thread is not a true black, more like a really dark gray. I’m using this to ridge a model ship of the mayflower and it will work but I would prefer to have had a deep black and not have it look washed out. I also picked up some crochet thread and as you can see, there’s a big difference.

Not what I was hoping for
I thought the thread would be much thicker. It’s hard to shop on line with items like these, unless you really know what you’re buying. A better photo that shows thickness comparisons perhaps but I do understand things are hard in the time of covid. The delivery was timely and good, though pricey.

Did the job.
Did a great job holding tote handles on. Needed a tote to take on the plane so i sewed 2 placemats together and put a zipper at the top and bought some leather handles to sew on it and the thread worked great.

Strong and reliable
I’ve been using this thread for years to hand sew garments via the Alabama Channin style (if you love to sew, do yourself a favor and look into it). This thread is thick enough to be reliable for seams as well as standing out decoratively. I have no complaints. I only wish more colors were available.
