Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great! This was perfect for fixing my daughter’s leggings that had split on a side seem. Worked in my machine without any special foot or needle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sewing knits without a serger. Eloflex is helping me to sew knits and maintain the necessary stretch. Lots of color options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the stretch, can be tricky to use This thread is great for hemming and top-stitching on t-shirts and other knit garmets. I've found it works best with a longer straight stitch or a "lightning bolt" stretch stitch. I usually loosen the needle tension a notch or two and keep the speed medium or less. It's a slippery thread, so I've had it tangle around the spool holder once or twice, but usually if it's threaded right, it sews nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this stretchy thread Worked fine in my old Singer, and for hand sewing of stretch fabrics. The stretch and resilience is great for hemming pants with stretch. After trying one to see if I liked it, I found it so useful that I got it in all the colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read this first When I first started to sew with this thread I used a stretch stitch, advised my machine I was using medium weight knit fabric, changed my needle to o a ballpoint 90 and began to sew a strait seam. It took me over an hour to sew that seam because of thread breakage above thw needle eye. I tried different settings on the tension although my machine is supposed to auto sense what tension is appropriate with fabric and thread. I was so frustrated and wished I hadn't bought the thread. As one last resort, I started searching the Intenet and found that people either loved it or hated it. After reading reviews on Joann's I decided to try what someone mentioned of not using stretch stitches but using a regular strait stitch instead. They also used the thread in the bobbin and top together. After taking this suggestion and trying the next seam it worked great and I'm now in the love it category. Just treat the thread and fabric the same as if you're sewing with woven fabric and it works great. I do suggest that you still use a ballpoint needle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible don’t buy I bought this because it stated at the store it could be used with 4 way stretch fabric. Not only can it NOT be used with it but it’s the most difficult thread I’ve ever delt with. It was constantly tangled and getting caught, wouldn’t sty taught, was constantly readjusting the tension, and was breaking often. Stay away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst thread to sew with I got this thread because I heard it's great for sewing knits. I have tried several garments with it and I am about to throw it out the window. It doesn't give even stitches and it gets caught in my machine causing it to break. The spool itself has little rough spots that snag the thread as I sew also causing it to break. I do not recommend this thread. I have a baby lock sewing machine and regular thread sews beautifully. Please find another brand and stay away from this stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect thread for sewing stretch fabrics I was hesitant to try this thread, given the previous reviews, but I'm so glad I did. This thread is NOT meant for use in sergers, it's meant to be used as the top and bobbin thread of a regular sewing machine. However, I got great results the one time I accidently used it in my Brother 1034D needles with regular polyester thread in both loopers. I've also gotten great results with my Singer 7285Q, using a stretch needle (90/14) and also using a stretch twin needle when hemming t-shirts. I've had no problems with breaking, shredding or raveling, but I do reduce the needle tension of my machine when sewing with any stretch thread. I really can't say enough good things about EloFlex. I've tried wooly nylon 'stretch' thread and I far prefer this one. I just wish it came in more colors.
