Rated 1 out of 5 by from “Gold” leaf is not gold plated I switched out the clasp on my necklace with the hildie & jo 14k gold plated lobster clasp and wore it on a hike. I did sweat, and I do react this way to pewter, but this package says that it is gold plated and I have a rash where it touched my neck after just one afternoon of wear. I include a picture. The two clasps looked the same literally hours apart. It takes about 30 minutes of wear for my skin to react this way to pewter and I do not react this way to REAL gold. Gold plated items usually last me 10-20 months. Gold filled, even longer. I conclude that these are not gold plated but probably a mix of copper and pewter.
