Smokes and smells like melting plasticI got home super excited to use my new heat gun and I plugged it in and right away it smelled like melting plastic and started to smoke really bad. Would not recommend this item. Go for the more expensive one it will be worth it!!

Pour artUse it for pour art.
Works good with warming and moving around resin pours, not so good with acrylic pours.

nasty features.I've had this heat gun for about a year & it constantly over heats. Yesterday the metal heat tube in the center of the gun came loose & the gun melted became dangerous to use. I'm replacing it with another brand from JoAnns.com. I hope the Uchida gun by Marvy is a safer product. I've used alot of heat guns over the years for everything from shrink wrapping wires to embossing paper. Mrs. J.

So far, so good! This heat tool works just fine, it gets the job done. This is my first heat tool, so I really don't have anything to compare it to. It seems to heat up just fine and doesn't take long to melt my embossing powders. So far, so good! The only complaint I have, which is just a personal preference and nothing to do with the function, is the one I received was white, not blue like the picture. The price + coupon was a no brainer.

Nothing but Smoke and SmellsI purchased this to help move around and dry paint, however, it offers no actual outward air. It does heat up however, and smoke copiously, then the smell comes and stays and stays and stays. This is going back to the store tomorrow.

Darice heating toolI had bought this item less than a month ago. I've used it two times. It has a bad odor smell during and after using it and also started to smoke once it turns off. It also never melted the embossing powder. I don't recommend this item.
