Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kit This is my second dimension kit stocking, I haven’t used any other stocking kits so I don’t have anything to compare it to. Dimensions must’ve listened to comments because there is TONS of leftover thread and I never came close to running out of any color. I’m not good at keeping ends and re-using in other parts of the stocking either. I also had no issue with running close to the end of the aida. This is only my second large project and isn’t for beginners, but I had no issue following the chart since they are shaped and color coded. The thread is cheap and knots very easily. There is also some gold thread that is more difficult to manage (I dreaded everytime I had to use it). I was also disappointed that the white snow isn’t thread but is just the white Aida showing through. However, the finished stocking is very professional looking. Keep in mind for children the stockings aren’t particularly wide so aren’t going to fit larger objects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful when finished I have made six counted cross stitch stockings and this is by far the most challenging. The aida is very fine, and the design calls for multiple strands of floss in many areas. This created lovely texture, but was very hard on the fingers as it was difficult to pull the threads through when working near other stitching. The diagrams are quite small and there are a number of symbols in light green, which I found difficult to see in artificial light. I ended up using colored markers on the diagrams to help out with this. The result was beautiful. I lined the stocking with cotton and used velvet for the backing. Took about six months, and is definitely not for beginners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Materials Please! I agree with Diana. I also ran out of thread and had to wait for my re-order to come in. Also, the aida cloth should be wider. Stitching too close to the edge. Overall, nice end result!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kit and beautiful stocking I have just finished this stocking and it turned out very pretty. The beading adds another dimension to the stocking and it's so beautiful. I have 30% of the thread left, so running out was definitely not an issue. The directions are very clear and the whole experience was very rewarding.
