Apparently designed by a Sadist
I bought 4 of the 2 1/2" half ball cover buttons. The tolerance between the button and the snap in part is so tight that, so far, only 1 of the four could actually be closed. I'm using them for silk fabric with a very thin fusible interface - it can hardly be considered "thick". I'm furious at the amount of time I've spent on this project. I previously used cover buttons I bought online through a global online marketplace and they were fine. I had a Joann coupon and thought the Dritz ones would be even better. Boy was I wrong! Whoever did the engineering and QC for these Dritz cover buttons must hate sewers.

Dritz 2 1/2 half ball button cover
Used these with my needle punch project. They were easy to use, had good instructions and closed properly and tightly. Would highly recommend.

Look at my Tuffett made from Men's Ties.
Found just what I needed to finish my Tuffet :-} I needed this Button to complete my project. I used my husbands no longer needed Ties. Starting taking them apart and the task became our Tuffet
