How To Get It
Use the Dritz Quilting No-melt Mylar Plastic Template Sheet - White for making applique, patchwork or quilt templates. This 12 x 18-inch template is made of durable, no-melt mylar plastic. You can also use this template to press seam allowances over the edges without damaging plastic or iron. It can be easily cut with scissors, a rotary cutter or a utility knife.

Love it!
Great to work with! The first time I used it was at a quilting show. One of the classes I had required us to purchase this. After using in the class I love it! It’s so easy to work with, just follow the directions and you will love it also.

No idea this was solid white
My mistake, I guess, but for tracing to create a template? I should have read the description and reviews more carefully. Useless. COVID online, curbside order, so I can’t return. Never again. Waste of money.

Works well
While this material works well and does not melt I was hoping for a more sturdy product. I was looking for heavy duty template plastic but think I inadvertently ordered the wrong thing. I will use it however and will order my original intention.

Disappointment
I bought this because when I was in the store, the staff had no idea what Mylar was!!! Including the manager. I ordered this online with pick-up at the store. When I picked it up it was totally opaque. Not at all what I wanted but I had already paid for it and made another trip to the store. I have used many brands but I will not buy this again.

Easy to cut, but warps when ironed
Bought this instead of the clear grid, because I was worried the clear grid would melt when I ironed the fabric around it. This product may not melt, but it certainly warped, making it difficult to use it the way I had intended. I cut a 9" square from this material so I could iron a 1/2" fold around the edge of a 10" square of fabric. After the first use, it warped, which prevented it from lying flat. It was difficult to iron the remaining fabric squares.

I use this Mylar sheeting to draw on patterns for my embroidery projects and many other uses. My crafting is so much fun, thanks to Joann’s.

Alternative use, when stenciling/ink blending!
I actually use this as my work space when I'm using stencils and inks for blending (such as Distress inks) when making cards. It allows the ink to remain workable and is super easy to clean off with a quick wipe. I absolutely love it!
