[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m hardly an artist but my son and I had so much fun using these watercolor pencils. They were less messy than traditional watercolors in my house. I feel I did a better job blending and shading with the pencils than I do with regular watercolors. I will definitely keep using these and purchase a bigger pack in the future.

The color palette in this box allows for multiple different creations. The pencil design does make it a little difficult to sharpen using some sharpeners.

She also adds just a dash of water and oh my, I must say her drawings look absolutely stunning! These colored pencils are fun and easy to use. I love the grip too. Each pencil has little circle bumps on it all the way down so no slipping by accident. I love them too and I highly recommend.

However, the watercolor aspect did not work as it was supposed to. It was really no different than if you colored with any other color pencils and then painted water over it. My daughter was pretty upset about that. Otherwise, they are pretty nice. As normal color pencils, I would say their quality is better than average. Just don’t have high hopes for the watercolor aspect. The colors are beautiful. The grips on the side and the triangular shape are both wonderful and helpful features!

This set is super easy to use. The color range is great and it's easy to make even more colors by blending the pencils. Turning the pencils to watercolors is as easy as brushing on a bit of water. You can tell these pencils are very high quality. The colors stayed true and smooth and it was such a fun way to try watercolors in an easier way. My kids and I all loved experimenting with these pencils.

Then, when you add water, they turn into a watercolor-style paint. I have found that it works best to go over each color kind of separately with a wet brush - if you rub all over multiple colors, they will obviously just run together. It’s a really fun thing for my kids to do, and they love turning their drawings into paintings.

The colorful pencils have a nice triangle shape & grip dots, which makes them easy to hold (especially for little hands). The bonus was it came with a paintbrush too.
