This is not cotton.
This is not cotton. The mesh that the embroidery is in is some kind of synthetic. See pic for burn test results—melted plastic beads.

Completely Sheer Material as of 2024
I purchased this fabric based on the photo and previous reviews. The fabric appears to be lightweight, with an embroidered design. Another reviewer shows a photo of curtains in a sunny window, which helped me make the decision to purchase for a summer blouse. I believe the quality must have changed since that photo was taken.

Both Elegant & Simple
This fabric is perfect to add an extra pocket on a plain white knit top & even an extra piece attached to the hemline of the same top. Or use it in combination with another fabric to make a lovely little girl's dress or add accents to one that's ready-made. This fabric is so versatile & fun! Nice white fabric
Beautiful fabric used to make a white high school graduation dress. The fabric is soft and drapes beautifully. It is sheer, so it does need a lining if you don't want to see through it. The sheerness is beautiful though and great if that is the look you are going for. We used it to have a sheer back on the dress and used it with lining on the front and skirt portion of the dress.

Beautiful, elegant and comfortable
I recently purchased this amazing fabric and I must say, I'm absolutely in love with it! The delicate and chic patterns on the fabric add a touch of elegance to any apparel I make with it. The soft material has a light texture to the touch, making it extremely comfortable to wear.
What I love the most about this fabric is the perfect combination of durability and breathability thanks to its cotton make. This makes it perfect for a variety of sewing projects such as tops, dresses, and even pants. I have made several tops with this fabric and I have never felt more comfortable in them.
The fabric is also easy to work with, both when sewing and wearing. It has a perfect weight that drapes beautifully, and I've had no issues with fraying or unraveling. The care instructions are also a breeze. I can easily machine wash it on a gentle cycle and line dry it without worrying about any damage or color fading.
The fabric width of 56 inches is also very convenient, allowing me to get more out of each yard. The content is also worth mentioning as it has a 100% polyester base and a 100% cotton embroidery which enhances the fabrics texture and durability.
