For Can:
- 100% Cotton Fabric
- 1/4" Elastic
- 2-Sided Fusible Flex Foam
- Basic Sewing Supplies
DIRECTIONS:
For Can:
- Cut 1 piece of foam 9"x 4".
- Cut 2 pieces of fabric 10"x 5".
- Cut 2 pieces of elastic 2" each.
- Sew fabric right sides together on the long edges to make a tube.
- Insert foam into tube.
- Turn in ends and attach elastic on one end 1" down from top edge and 1" up from bottom edge leaving 1" visible and pin.
- On opposite end pin edges under marking where the elastic will join together.
- Topstitch around koozie, leaving open where elastic will be inserted on end.
- Make sure to reinforce or backstitch where the elastic is pinned.
- Press to adhere the fusible foam (according to directions) to the koozie once you have topstitched.
- Insert elastic into holes on edge, leaving about 1/4" visible.
- Sew elastic into end making sure to reinforce or backstitch.
- Cut 1 piece of foam 8 1/2"x 5".
- Cut 2 pieces of fabric 9 1/2"x 6".
- Cut 2 pieces of elastic 2" each.
- Sew fabric right sides together on the long edges to make a tube.
- Insert foam into tube.
- Turn in ends and attach elastic on one end 1" down from top edge and 1" up from bottom edge leaving 1" visible and pin.
- On opposite end pin edges under marking where the elastic will join together.
- Topstitch around koozie, leaving open where elastic will be inserted on end.
- Make sure to reinforce or backstitch where the elastic is pinned.
- Press to adhere the fusible foam (according to directions) to the koozie once you have topstitched.
- Insert elastic into holes on edge, leaving about 1/4" visible.
- Sew elastic into end making sure to reinforce or backstitch.
- To create a custom-sized koozie:
- Measure around can or bottle and measure height that you want the koozie and use that measurement to cut foam rectangle.
- Cut fabric pieces 1" larger to be able to insert foam into tube.
- Follow instructions for can or bottle koozie.
