Painted Wood Flower Light Fixture
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
Purchased unfinished wood light fixture
Purple watercolor paint
Green acrylic paint for base
Medium flat brush
Soft cloth or paper towels
Water
DIRECTIONS:
Paint all the base pieces of light with green acrylic paint. Allow to dry and apply a second coat if needed.
Moisten surface of one flower "petal" with water - do NOT get the petal too wet or wood will warp.
Place a small amount of purple watercolor paint on the tip of the petal. Using a cloth or paper towel, wipe the color up and off towards the top of the petal to look shaded.
Repeat with all remaining petals.
Allow petals to dry thoroughly before assembling light fixture.
Follow manufacturer's directions to assemble and hang light fixture.

No links to purchase the supplies especially the wooden Light fixture. Was such a let down after being so excited to create this.

Cool project
The wood fixture IS available for purchase on the Joann website. I enjoyed the project though achie ving the ombre effect does require a bit of skill. End product is really pretty.

Terrible Tutorial
I was so interested in this! Too bad the instructions are so poor. If I was even able to find a wooden light fixture, it would need to be of unfinished wood, first of all! This OSS just a sloppy attempt at a tutorial and could be ok to be offered as an idea on Pinterest but not as professional tutorial at all. I used the word “terrible “ because a person trying this out could actually waste a lot of time and money and that’s just disrespectful in this day and age.
