Painted Canvases

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Canvas
• Various Colors of Paint
• Medium Flat Brush/Detail Brush
• Pencil
• Water and Paper Towels for Clean Up

DIRECTIONS:

1. Draw your rough layout for the painting on the canvas with pencil.
2. Paint in the layers of the painting overlapping where needed and filling in the background.
3. Let dry, apply additional coats as needed to layer the design.

JOANN HACKS:

• Painting with wet paint allows the colors to blend together, letting the layers dry between each color will give you a cleaner line. Depending on the look you want to achieve you can work with wet or dry layers.
