- 1/2" small swivel hook & D-ring
- Paint
- Detail brush/medium brush
- Water/paper towels for clean up
- Pencil

DIRECTIONS:
- Trace the pattern template onto washable paper sheet twice. Also draw a rectangle 1/2"x 12" long, and two rectangles 3/8"x 2" long. Cut out all pieces.
- Start bag by installing the zipper. Align the straight edge of the bag pieces with the teeth of the zipper. Stitch down the edge, catching the zipper tap. Repeat for the second piece of the bag.
- Fold one of the 3/8"x 2" long rectangles in half with D-ring positioned in the fold. Place in between the two layers of the bag, about 1" down from the zipper, with the D-ring on the outer edge of the bag. Clip or hold in place and sew outer edge of the bag using 3/8" seam allowance.
- Make bag strap by folding the remaining 3/8"x 2" long rectangle and positioning the swivel hook in the fold. Fold the 1/2"x 12" long piece in half and inset the folded piece containing the swivel hook in between the open edges. Following the instructions provided on the packaging, insert a rivet through all four layers to hold the swivel hook in place. Reinforce the loop with the D-ring with another rivet through all four layers.
- Lightly sketch out your design onto the front of your bag.
- Using paint to layer the design elements, painting from the background to the foreground.
- Allow to dry thoroughly.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- Minimize the number of holes in the paper by elongating your stitch length and knotting off ends instead of backstitching.
- Use Wonder Clips instead of pins.
- Make sure to make light lines with pencil so they are easy to erase.
- Add thin layers of paint to avoid cracking.
