JOANN HACKS:
- Assorted sizes of terra cotta pots
- Ruler
- Stencils
- Pencil
- Acrylic outdoor paints: navy, white, mustard yellow, gray, burnt orange, sage green
- Brushes
- White matte spray paint
- Clear matte varnish finishing spray
DIRECTIONS:
- If pots are new, remove all stickers. If pots are used, clean well before painting.
- Spray paint pots white. This may take more than one coat to cover.
- Leave the inside pot natural or paint or spray paint it.
- Lightly pencil designs onto pots. Use a circle template or stencils for help in drawing.
- Paint designs on pots allowing time to dry between different colors. Multiple coats of paint may be needed for full coverage.
- Once the pots are completely dry, spray with a clear coat of varnish.
JOANN HACKS:
- Lightly sand to remove any remaining adhesive left from stickers.
- Pencil lines come off easily with a damp paper towel.
- White paint and a small brush can be used to touch up designs if needed.
