SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Wall painted a plain white or light color surface
  • 3 bottles FolkArt® Home Decor paint: Misty Blue
  • Medium art paintbrush
  • Wide 2" paintbrush
  • Piece of smooth white foam
  • Utility knife

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Using the utility knife, cut the smooth white foam into 5 different rectangle-like shapes. Try to make them about the same height, but all different rectangles.
  2. Using the wide brush paint on the smooth side of the rectangles, add an even layer of paint.
  3. Press the first shape firmly and evenly onto the wall, then pull it off straight towards you. Use your small paintbrush to touch up any rough edges. Continue to do this process across the wall. As you stamp the rectangles, make sure you angle the rectangles in slightly different directions so that the pattern doesn't start to look rigid and like bricks.
  4. Continue the process of stamping the foam blocks across the wall. Do the same process with each row until you have finished the wall.

CRAFT HACK TIPS & TRICKS:

  • Don't layer the paint on the foam blocks too heavily or it will seep around the shape of the block when you stamp it. If it does, use your small paint brush to clean up the edges for the shape.
