SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Blank Wood Office Organizers
- Painter's Tape
- Craft Paint
- Paint Stain
- Satin Finish Clear Coat Spray Paint
- Paint Brush
- Pencil
- Cotton Rag
- 200-400 Grit Sandpaper
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly sand all surfaces with 200-400 grit sandpaper. Wipe pieces clean after sanding.
- Stain all surfaces with cotton rag. Allow to dry.
- Tape off the areas you do not wish to paint and then add 2-3 light coats of paint until an opaque finish is achieved.
- For checkerboard pattern, mark the mid point on all horizontal and vertical surfaces. Apply painter's tape from one vertical midpoint to its opposite. Use the edge of the paint to lightly trace the vertical lines of the checkerboard. Trace each side of tape, lift the tape, align with one of the vertical lines, and trace the tape again. Repeat until the surface is completely marked. Repeat for horizontal lines.
- Allow all pieces to dry. Finish with satin clear-coated sealant.
