Papel Picado

1. Open Design Space and insert your 6 paper picado design svg files.
2. Adjust size to approximately 8"x 6".
3. Make at least 3 of each design (18 total).
4. Change the color of each picado design to the color cardstock of choice.
5. Select Make It, and cut with your machine.
6. Select weight of cardstock.
7. Use a Cricut spatula or bend mat to remove cardstock from mat.
8. After they are all cut, string them together by looping through holes on the ends around the backside or using a hole punch in the corners.

JOANN HACKS:

• Cutting heavy cardstock with your Cricut will take 3 rounds per picado cut; if you have two machines you can open a second Cricut window, and run both to make the banner quicker.
• When peeling away cut paper, bend your mat back away from the cut cardstock instead of peeling your paper away from the mat so your cut picado paper doesn't curl.
