SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cricut Maker™
  • Paper / cardstock
  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape
  • Glue
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush

DIRECTIONS:

    CRICUT MAKER SETTINGS
    Material: Medium cardstock
    Pressure: Default
    Blade: Fine-tip blade
  1. Using your Cricut Maker™, upload the provided SVG file for the Eucalyptus Leaves.
  2. Cut out multiple pages of leaves.
  3. Cut a portion of your floral wire into 4" pieces. You want to leave some longer pieces to build your garland.
  4. Take two of the same size leaves, spread glue all over one leaf using your paintbrush and glue a piece of wire between the two leaves. Make sure to press it firmly so the wire is snug and the leaves are sealed.
  5. Start creating bundles of leaves, smallest to largest size, wrapping floral wire as you add each leaf in.
  6. Once you have all of your bundles created, start adding them to a longer piece of wire, alternating sides and sizes of bundles as you work your way down the garland.
  7. Continue to add in longer pieces of wire and more bundles until you reach your desired length.
  8. Once your stems are attached, go back through and "fluff" your leaves to give fullness to the garland.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • You don't have to make the stems uniform. Play around with different numbers of leaves and length. It will give the garland a more realistic look overall.
  • You can use a book to help press your leaves as you are working on gluing them.
