SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • POP! Paper Cups, (2)
  • POP! Craft Paint
  • POP! Foam Brushes
  • Chenille Stems
  • Pom-poms
  • Hot Glue Gun/Glue Gun Sticks
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Paint one cup as desired. This will be the flowerpot.
  2. Draw a line on the second cup about 1 1/2" above the bottom.
  3. Use a pair of scissors to cut along the line. Set aside the top of the cup.
  4. On the bottom piece of the cup, cut slits about 1" apart around the walls of the cup. The slits should go all the way to the bottom of the cup. These will become the petals of the flower.
  5. Fold the slits back and use scissors to round the ends into a petal shape.
  6. From the top piece of cup, cut one or two leaf shapes. Fold the leaves in half, down the middle, to form the vein.
  7. Paint the flower and leaf as desired. Add pom-poms or other embellishments with your hot glue gun.
  8. Twist three chenille stems together to make the stem of the flower. Glue to the back of the flower. Attach the leaf to the stem with another chenille stem and glue.
  9. Glue the bottom of the stem into the flowerpot. Add rocks or coins to the base of the cup if needed to keep it upright. Top the flower pot with strips of kraft paper or paper shred.
