DIRECTIONS:
FLOWER POT
- Start by selecting the Fiskars Paper Gems Quartz template and your colorful cardstock. (I chose pretty pinks and yellows to coordinate with the flowers I was adding to the table, but you can select any color you like best.) Place the template on top of one sheet of cardstock. Using a pencil, trace around the perimeter of the template to outline your shape.
- Score the template. Next, using the Fiskars® Paper Gems Stylus, score along the lines within the template. These will become your fold lines.
- Cut out your traced shape along the pencil lines using scissors.
- Fold the cardstock along the scored lines.
- Apply adhesive along the tabs of the cardstock shape.
- Bring the folded shape together and secure in place by pressing along the adhesive on the tabs.
- To create the flower pot, cut away the final facet on the Quartz shape, to create an opening for your flowers to fit into.
- Place a small glass votive inside the paper shape to hold the flower and any water if you are using fresh flowers.
LANTERN
- Hold the Paper Gems Lantern Template on top of a sheet of cardstock. Using a pencil, trace around the perimeter and inside openings of the template.
- Using the stylus, score along the lines within the template.
- Cut out the shape along the pencil lines you marked using your scissors.
- Using the Easy Change Detail Knife, cut out the side openings. This will allow light to shine through your template. For a different project, you could always leave these filled in and use the lantern template to create a taller vase or container to hold items.
- Fold the cardstock along the scored lines to begin shaping your lantern.
- Apply adhesive along the tabs of the cardstock shape.
- Bring the folded shape together and secure in place by pressing along the adhesive on the tabs.
- Add votive. Place a battery-operated tea light inside the lantern.
