SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 12"x 12" Scrapbooking paper of your choice
- Scissors
- Paper cutter
- Hole punches
- Yarn
- Clear tape
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut paper into a rectangle, the size of the rectangle will dictate the size of the bag. Half the width of one side of the bag will be the overall width of the bag. The height will be approximately half the height of the bag, but can be adjusted depending on the size of the bottom and top flap you create. You can experiment with different sizes of paper to make various size bags.
- Lay the rectangle paper on your work surface, fold in each side to meet in the middle over lapping 1/4". Tape on the inside and outside of the bag for added stability.
- Fold one of the open ends up to create the bottom of the bag. How much you fold up will determine the size of the bottom of the bag.
- Open up the bottom of the bag and crease in the opposite direction to create triangles on either side.
- Fold the two points of the triangles together to meet in the middle and tape to secure in place to finish the bottom of the bag.
- For the top flap fold down and crease in place.
- Hole punch through the flap and the base of the bag to create the holes for the yarn closure.
- Open the bag and tape the inside bottom to secure from the inside.
- Fill with your gift
- Thread yarn through both holes and tie a bow in the front to hold it closed.
