DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: Sew with 3/8" seams.
  1. Cut eight 3 1/2"x 7" rectangles of each of the two colors.
  2. Sew rectangles into 2 rows of 8 each alternating colors as shown in diagram.
  3. Sew rows together. Finger press seams open and pin if needed.
  4. Carefully topstitch 1/4" from seam line as shown. This will keep seams flat.
  5. Lay pillow back pieces right sides together. Sew with a 1/2" seam leaving a 7" opening in center.
  6. Place pillow top on back with right sides together. Center top and pin to hold in place. Trim back to match the top and sew around pieces.
  7. Turn right sides out. Take care to poke out corners. Stuff pillow with Polyfil starting at corners and continue adding hand sized pieces until you have the thickness you want. Try to keep it light and even.
  8. Pin opening together and hand stitch closed.
