  • Envelope pillow with stripe: 2, 1 1/2"
  • Envelope pillow with rectangle flap: 2, 1 1/4"
  • Envelope pillow with angle flap: 1, 2"
  • Cording, match Rectangle Flap pillow fabric, 10"
  • Pillow forms, 12" x 16",1 and 18" x 18", 3

DIRECTIONS:

    Envelope pillow with stripe, 12" x 16", 2 color:
  1. Cut one piece of fabric 13" x 38", one of contrast fabric 5 1/2" x 13".
  2. Contrast fabric: Turn under long sides 1/2" and press.
  3. Base fabric: Turn under one short end 1/4", press, turn under again 1/2" press and sew. Repeat for the other short end.
  4. Lay out the large fabric RS up. Pin the contrast fabric 11 1/2" from one end of the large fabric. Match up the raw edges of the fabrics. Sew together close to the edges.
  5. Lay two 1 1/2" buttons centered on the contrast fabric stripe, 4" in from the raw edges. Hand sew in place.
  6. Lay out panel RS up. Fold short side, with contrast stripe, over toward the center of the fabric 8". Fold over other short side overlapping the first side to bring the entire length to 16". Line up raw edges. Pin and sew 1/2" SA. Clip corners. Zig zag along seam to finish edges. Turn RS out.
  7. Fill with 12" x 16" pillow form.

    Envelope pillow with rectangular flap, 18" x 18":
  1. Cut two pieces of fabric: 1 @ 19" x 40 3/4" and 1 @ 7 1/4" x 19"
  2. Cut one piece of Interfacing 7 1/4" x 19".
  3. Turn under one long side of the small panel 1/4" and press. Turn under again 1/2", press and sew.
  4. Press interfacing to WS at end of 40 3/4" panel.
  5. Turn under the opposite end of the 40 3/4" panel 1/2" and press. Turn under again 1/2", press and sew.
  6. Cut cording into two pieces 5" long.
  7. Loop each cord and sew 1/2" from raw ends (to hold loop shape).
  8. Lay long panel RS up. On interfacing end, lay loops, raw ends of loops extending 1/2" beyond short side raw edges, 6 1/2" in from long sides of fabric. Pin in place. Lay the other panel on top RS down, lining up the raw edges. Pin and sew 1/2" SA only the short end with the loops. Turn and press.
  9. With the fabric RS up, fold in the pressed end with the interfacing. Line up the raw edges and pin. Fold in the other end to a finished length of 18". This flap will lay over the top of the first flap. Line up the raw edges and pin. Sew along both sides 1/2" SA. Clip corners. Zig zag along seam to finish edges. Turn RSO and press out seams.
  10. Button locations 6" in from sides. The center of the buttons should land just inside the loops. Hand sew two 1 3/4" buttons in place.
  11. Fill with 18" x 18" pillow form.

    Envelope pillow with angle flap, 18" x 18":
  1. Cut one piece of fabric: 19" x 37 1/4".
  2. Turn under one short side of panel 1/4" and press. Turn under again 1/2", press and sew.
  3. Angle flap: Cut two fabric and one interfacing: 19" wide tapers to 4" wide x 15" long.
  4. Press the interfacing to one angle flap.
  5. Lay the two angle flaps RST lining up the raw edges, pin. Sew 1/2" SA all edges leaving the 19" end open to turn. Clip the corners. Turn and press. Topstitch 1/4" in from edge.
  6. For a 2" button, locate the start of the hole 1" in from the 3" wide finished end of the angle flap. Sew the button hole.
  7. Lay the long panel RS up. Lay the angle panel on top lining up the unfinished short end of the long panel with the raw edges of the angle panel. Pin and sew together 1/2" SA. Clip the corners. Zig zag along seam to finish edges. Press the seam toward the long panel.
  8. Fold the long panel RST lining up the raw edges. Pin and sew 1/2" SA. Clip corners. Zig zag along seam to finish edges. Turn RS out and press.
  9. Locate the center of the button hole on the long panel when the flap is laid over the pocket of the pillowcase. Make sure that the location is centered side to side. Hand sew the button in place.
  10. Fill with 18" x 18" pillow form.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pillow pattern would not load Instructions are great but the pattern would not load - tried multiple times. Also, should include instructions in a PDF printable format.
