SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 3 Natural clay containers (different heights)
- Assorted artificial flowers:
- Daisy pick
- PKN Rose
- PKN Rose Bush Cream
- Hydrangea Pick
- Peony Rose Hydrangea Bush Brown
- Hydrangea Bush Peach
- Hard green floral foam- enough to fill the inside of your containers
- Big kitchen knife
- Wire cutters
DIRECTIONS:
- Use the bog kitchen knife to cut the foam to fill the containers with the green floral foam, making sure it is tightly packed. Your foam should stick above the container about 1/2".
- When starting to build the floral arrangement, start with your bigger flowers and decide the height and how many you want in the arrangement. Using your wire cutters trim the flowers to the height you want the arrangement to be plus 2" more to be able to insert into the foam base.
- As you are placing the flowers into the arrangement, make them at different heights to create interest and movement in the overall design of the arrangement. As you are placing them, keep in mind that arrangement looks best with mixing up the placements of the different colors. Try not to have same colors and shapes next to each other.
- You want to have an overall height to the arrangement, but create interest, by having the colors and placement change.
JOANN HACKS:
- Cut the stems at an angle to make it easier to insert into the floral foam. Use greenery around the base to help hide the floral foam.
