Special Benefits: Two main types of interfacing include fusible (which is applied with heat) and sew-in. They can be knit or woven, and come in a variety of weights to reinforce different kinds of base fabric.

The Pellon 525 Decovil Light One-sided Fusible Stabilizer is an iron-on interlining with a leather-like handle. It is dimensionally stable and easy to shape. This beige stabilizer is tear resistant and resilient, and the cutting edges stay formed. It is great for hats, bags, belts, crafting and home decor. It is sold by the bolt.

I fused it onto fabric and vinyl backing on some handbags and it gave them enough structure to stand up on their own (instead of flopping over).
