Perler Bead Frames

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Perler beads, assorted
• Clear Perler bead pegboard
• Iron
• Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks

DIRECTIONS:

1. Either use a photo as a template or cut a paper to photo size and place it under the Perler pegboard.
2. Position the Perler beads in a design around the template.
3. Fuse the Perler beads with an iron following the Perler instructions.
4. Set iron on medium setting, place the ironing paper included with the pegboard over the beads and iron in a circular motion for 10-20 seconds. Let the design cool and then remove the paper and the bead frame. Flip over and place the ironing paper over the back side. Iron for 10-20 seconds, then allow to cool.
5. Create any additional small pieces (flowers, leaves, geometric shapes, words, etc.) with Perler beads in the same way.
6. When cool, glue small Perler pieces to the frame with a hot glue gun.

JOANN HACKS:

• Glue magnets onto the back of the frame to put on a refrigerator or other magnetic surface.
