- Patons® Alpaca Blend Yarn, Slate
- Red felt, 12"x 18"
- Sandstone felt, 12"x 18"
- White felt, 9"x 12"
- Minty felt, 9"x 12"
- Kelly Green felt, 9"x 12"
- Goldenrod felt, 9"x 12"
- Olive felt, 9"x 12"
- White puffy paint
- Basswood 3/16"x 3/8"x 24"
- Pattern template
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
DIRECTIONS:
- To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above). Enlarge patterns.
- Cut out 5 pieces of felt 2"x 2.5" of each color felt, goldenrod, Kelly green, olive, minty, and red.
- Line up the pieces of felt on top of the sandstone felt.
- Hot glue each pocket felt piece along the sides and bottom, leaving the top open.
- Using the pattern templates, cut out the pieces for the ornaments.
- Assemble the ornament felt pieces and hot glue them together.
- Arrange the ornaments along the top of the calendar and hot glue them in place.
- With the slate yarn, use a decorative blanket stitch around the entire edge of the calendar.
- Cut the basswood piece down to 13" long.
- Hot glue the basswood piece to the top back of the calendar.
- Tie a piece of yarn to either overlapping end of the basswood for hanging.
- Use the white puffy paint to draw the numbers onto each pocket. Allow to dry.
