SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Floral wire, 26 gauge (1)
- Wire cutters
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue
- Maple pecan pine cones
- Handmade Holiday™ ribbon bows (6 pack)
- Handmade Holiday™ wire-edge ribbon
DIRECTIONS:
- Choose pine cones to be used and lay in a line as they will hang on the garland. Position the bows above the pine cones. Measure the desired distance between the top centers of the pine cones. Add 1/2" to this length. Fold over the ends of the ribbon 1". Attach a bow 1/2" in from the folded end of the ribbon. Use the twist tie on the back of the bow to attach. Measure down the ribbon the determined length between pine cones. Attach a second bow at this point. Repeat down the length of the ribbon. Finish the last bow attachment over the other folded end of ribbon.
- Cut 1' lengths of wire. Loop one wire around the top of a pine cone. Twist the cut ends to cinch the wire close to the center stem of pine cone. Continue twisting the wire to the cut ends. Loop the twisted wire to form a small circle. Spiral the twisted ends through the loop to secure. Repeat for other pine cones.
- Place hot glue on the top of one pine cone, toward the front, the opposite side from the hanger. Place the center of one bow with the ribbon attached in to the hot glue. Repeat.
- If desired, hot glue one edge of the ribbon to each side of the pine cone. This will help hold the swag ribbon toward the backs of the pine cones.
