    1. Using the duct tape, mask out the area to be the lavender border. Use the recycled paper to mask out the main part of the mat.
    2. Spray paint the border with the lavender spray paint. Let it dry.
    3. Do not remove the interior recycled paper. Cover the lavender border with more recycled paper and tape off the area for the thin white trim border. Spray it with the white spray paint and let it dry.
    4. Now remove all the masking paper.
    5. Load the .svg file "Come Play" into your Cricut Design Space. Cut it out on your Cricut with a heavy stencil vinyl.
    6. Place the area of the words first, then remove the letters and use the background as your stencil. Press the stencil vinyl securely and then spray paint white. Let it dry.
    7. Cut out the black letter stencil in the stencil vinyl. Discard the letters and keep the background for your stencil.
    8. Press the stencil firmly in place and spray with the black spray paint. Let it dry and then remove the stencil.

    JOANN HACKS:

    • Always place your stencils from lightest first to darkest last. Darker colors will cover over any mistakes in the lighter colors.
