DIRECTIONS:
- Download the pattern by clicking Get Pattern.
- Cut one pattern piece, on the fold, out of cotton fabric.
- Fold fabric right sides together, matching sides. Sew along top using 1/4" seam allowance and leaving a space 3" wide in the center to turn mask right side out.
- Cut pieces from coordinating fabric to create bias tape. You'll need one piece that is about 41" long and 1" wide.
- Use bias tape maker to create 1/4" bias tape or do it yourself by ironing the strap in half, then folding the two sides again to meet the center fold. Sew closed to finish bias tape.
- Turn mask right side out and press seams flat.
- Using pattern as a guide, fold up three pleats on each side, making sure the pleats are folded in the same direction. Pin into place.
- Topstitch 1/4" around the entire mask, securing the pleats and closing the opening.
- Make channel on each side of mask by turning under 1/2". Thread bias tape through channels making loop at the top. Take ends of bias tape and thread through one bead to adjust ties. Tie ends of bias tape together.
