- Poly-fil®, Ultra Plush fiber fill, 40 oz bag, 1/2 each for 16" letter
- Fabric, cotton print, approx 1 yard each for 16" letter
- Optional: Glue stick
DIRECTIONS:
- Print desired letter in Arial Bold or similar typeface.
- Enlarge letter 1" larger than finished pillow height. 16" H cut 17" H.
- Front and back: cut one each.
- Sides: for finished 16" letter height, cut 5" wide strip 1" longer than the length of all sides added together (cut lengths of sides). Press short ends under 1/2". RST attach side strip to front, 1/2" from matched raw edges. Start at bottom corner. Clip at corners to turn side strip. The two short, folded ends will create the opening to turn the letter.
- RST attach back to sides same as front.
- Clip all corners close to the seam to reduce bulk.
- Turn RSO, push out all corners and fill.
- Hand stitch opening closed.
JOANN HACKS:
- Use a glue stick to temporarily hold edges together prior to stitching.
- Fill the areas of letters furthest from the opening first.
