SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Red Heart Super Saver Yarn, Spring Green
- Lion Brand Bonbons, Crayons
- Darice Embroidery Hoop, 10"
- Darice Embroidery Hoop, 8"
- Darice Embroidery Hoop, 5"
- Assortment of pink, green, orange, yellow, purple & blue pom poms in various sizes
- Hot glue gun/glue sticks
- Crochet Hook, H8 5.00mm
- Yarn Needle
DIRECTIONS:
- Wrap each of the embroidery hoops with a different color of the bonbons yarn.
- Staring with the smallest hoop and the spring green yarn, slip stitch around the hoop.
- Chain 10 stitches.
- Slip stitch around the medium hoop.
- Chain 10 stitches.
- Slip stitch around the largest hoop.
- Chain 50 stitches mark the 50th chain with a scrap piece of yarn. Chain another 50 stitches.
- Slip stitch around the opposite side of the largest hoop.
- Chain 10 stitches.
- Slip stitch around the opposite side of the medium hoop.
- Chain 10 stitches.
- Slip stitch around the opposite side of the smallest hoop. Tie off yarn.
- Repeat steps 2-6 working perpendicular to the last set of chain stitches.
- Chain 50 stitches slip stitch into the marked 50th ch from the previous piece. Chain 10, slip stitch back into the 50th chain of the last piece (this creates a loop for hanging). Chain another 50 stitches.
- Repeat steps 8-12.
- Move the strands of yarn as needed to space them evenly around the hoops.
- Hot glue the ends of the yarn on the smallest hoop in place to prevent the chains from unraveling.
- Hot glue the colorful pom poms around the exterior of each hoop.
- Cut a length of yarn 18" and knot one end.
- Thread the unknotted end of the yarn onto a yarn needle.
- Thread pom poms onto the yarn, spacing them slightly apart.
- Tie the top of the yarn to the top chain, where the chains create the hanging loop. Adjust to desired length and knot tightly.
- Trim the end of the yarn and let the pom poms hang down the middle of the chandelier.
JOANN Hacks:
- Remove the inner hoops from the embroidery frames. Set frames aside, working only with the hoops.
