POP! Child's Knit Bow Headband

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1/2yd knit fabric
• Basic sewing supplies
• Sewing machine with walking foot

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut 11"x 36" wide rectangle out of knit fabric (1/2" seam allowance included). Fold rectangle in half, long, right-sides together. Stitch around all edges, leaving three inches for turning on long edge. Trim seam allowance to a scant 1/4".
2. Turn piece right-side out and press well. Slip-stitch opening closed.
3. Tie rectangle into a knotted loop, with the size most comfortable for wearer. Hand-stitch knot to secure.
4. On each excess end: fold edges toward the center to create a small pleat on end and hand tack into place. Place pleat on each side of knot to form a loose bow. Tack pleated ends by hand next to knot.
