DIRECTIONS:
- To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
- Cut out the pattern pieces in the black or Halloween fabric.
- Place two wing pieces, right sides together, pin and sew along the edge, leaving the short edge open.
- For the second wing, place two wing pieces, right sides together. Place a half piece of elastic folded in half inside the tip of the wing. Pin and sew along the edge, leaving the short edge open.
- Turn the wings right side out and press.
- Place the ear pieces, right sides together, pin and sew along the edge, leaving the bottom edge open. Repeat for the other ear.
- Turn the ears right side out and press.
- Place the body pieces, right sides together, pin along the edge.
- Position the ears at the top of the head, between the two body pieces and pin them in place.
- Position the wings at either side of the body and pin them in place.
- Sew along the edge of the piece, leaving a small opening for turning and stuffing.
- Turn the bat right side out.
- Stuff the bat fully, and hand stitch the opening closed.
- Sew the felt eyes in place on the bat's face.
- Hand stitch face details.
- Wrap the bat's wings around it's body and determine where the elastic will hit. Sew a small button to that spot, to keep the wings wrapped.
- Add a bow if desired. Place the two bow pieces right sides together. Stitch along the edge, leaving a small hole at the bottom for turning. Clip the corners and turn the piece. Iron flat. Baste up the middle of the bow, and pull tightly to cinch the middle. Sew the bow in place onto the bat.

Darling, but took some figuring
I haven't sewn this yet, but for anyone frustrated with the patterns not matching up, I did some experimental printing last night. If you print page 1 at 100%, and 2-3 and 74% the feet and body will match perfectly. It will, however be smaller than the pattern indicates, but I wanted her to be a bit smaller anyway

Waist of time
The measurements for the pattern are WAY off the instructions couldn’t be more vague and the body isn’t long enough and the feet are way too big

WHAT?!
What's up with the pattern!? The pieces are all screwed up, you'd think that they'd make all of them proportional do that one could just make a copy at 150%!

Measurements are off
The two pieces of the body do not match up, the feet are larger than the body. Making the pattern part useless since I will have to make a new one. Its frustrating when instructions don't tell you how to enlarge the pattern to get the measurements they are stating on the paperwork.....
