- 5" Piece of Cardboard (for tassels)
- Yarn needle
- MEASUREMENTS: Approx 63" wide x 39" deep, excluding tassels.

- 12 sc and 13 rows = 4"
- CYC 4 Medium
DIRECTIONS:
Ch 2.1st row: (RS). (3 sc. Ch 2. 3 sc) all in 2nd ch from hook. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to ch-2 sp. (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in ch-2 sp. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 5 (counts as dtr here and throughout). 2 dtr in first st. 1 dtr in each st to ch-2 sp. (3 dtr. Ch 2. 3 dtr) in ch-2 sp. 1 dtr in each st to last st. 3 dtr in last st. Turn.
4th row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. 1 sc in each st to ch-2 sp. (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in ch-2 sp. 1 sc in each st to last st. 2 sc in last st. Turn.
5th to 46th rows: Rep 2nd to 4th rows 14 times more
47th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to ch-2 sp. 3 sc in ch-2 sp. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Fasten off.
TASSELS:
(make 3)
Wind yarn around a piece of cardboard 5" wide 30 times.
Tie through loops securely at one end. Cut across other end.
Wrap yarn 6 times around Tassel 1" down from tied end. Fasten securely.
With yarn needle, sew one Tassel to each point of Shawl.
