SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 2 Fat Quarters in colors of your choice
  • Thread
  • Sewing Machine
  • One grad cap
  • Quick Grip Glue

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Create one quilted block panel 1/4" larger than the size of the grad cap using the 2 fat quarters.
  2. After block is created, slit a hole in the center to slide over the button of the cap.
  3. Pull the edges tight and place a small dab of Quick grip glue to hold in place.
  4. Wrap the edges around the cap and using a blind stitch attach the sides of the block to the cap.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Make sure it is centered before applying the small dab of glue and also before you do the blind stitch to attach it to the cap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Missing helpful information Looks like one could use half square triangles. But photo provided isn't done that way. The instructions are assuming you have a graduation cap to make a pattern and get measurements. Would make a nice pre-graduation gift.
