VIEW A: GREEN STAR STOCKING
  1. Cut (1) 2 5/8"x 2 5/8" square from fabric A (red). Cut (4) 1 5/8"x 1 5/8" squares from fabric B (white), fold and press in half. Cut (4) 2 5/8"x 2 5/8" squares from fabric C (sage), cut (4) 1 5/8"x 1 5/8" squares from fabric D (white), fold and press in half. Cut (1) 3 1/2"x 3 1/2" square from fabric E (sage), cut from corner to corner to create (4) triangles. Cut (1) 3 1/2"x 3 1/2" square from fabric F (pink), cut from corner to corner to create (4) triangles. Cut (2) 3 1/2"x 3 1/2" square from fabric G (green), cut from corner to corner to create (8) triangles.
  2. Line up one square B in the corner of square A so the pressed fold of square B meets the midpoint of square A. Sew along folded line. Trim seam allowance to 1/4" and press toward fabric B. Repeat for remaining 3 corners of square A.
  3. Line up one square D in the corner of square C so the pressed fold of square D meets the midpoint of square C. Sew along folded line. Trim seam allowance to 1/4" and press toward fabric D. Repeat for remaining 3 squares C.
  4. Sew (4) triangles G to (4) triangles F following Template H placement guide. Press seams toward fabric G. Sew (4) triangles G to (4) triangles E. Press seams toward fabric G.
  5. Sew (4) units F,G to (4) units E, G, matching center points. Press seams open.
  6. Sew units (4) C,D to sides of (2) units E,F,G following Template H placement guide. Sew (2) units E,F,G to sides of (1) unit A,B.
  7. Sew the (3) rows together following Template H placement guide, being sure to match and pin seams. Press seams open.
  8. Cut (2) 2"x 6 3/4" rectangles from fabric C (sage) and sew to sides of star block. Press seams toward fabric C. Cut (1) 3"x 9 1/2" rectangle from fabric C (sage) and sew across top of star block. Press seams toward fabric C. Cut (1) 10"x 13" rectangle from fabric C (sage), and sew to bottom of star block. Press seams toward fabric C. See Template I placement guide.
  9. Cut (3) 14"x 20" rectangles from backinglining fabric, and (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from batting. Layer backing fabric, batting, and pieced stocking front together. Quilt in the ditch along outer seams of star. Quilt vertical lines 1" apart across background (sage) or quilt as desired. Layer backing fabric, batting, and lining fabric together, quilt vertical lines 1" apart across, or quilt as desired.
  10. Place Pattern Template A on quilted stocking front, trace around edge and cut out. Place Pattern Template A REVERSE on quilted stocking back, trace and cut out. With right sides together, pin and sew around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance.
  11. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x WOF strip of lining fabric. Pin to wrong side of stocking seam just sewn, lining up raw edges. Sew strip of fabric along the previously sewn seam. Fold strip over raw edges of seam allowance, turn under 1/4" and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges.
  12. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 6" strip of cuff fabric for hanging loop. Turn under 1/4" on each 6" length, then fold in half. Stitch along the folded edges of 6" length. Fold in half and hand stitch to inside of left edge of stocking, approximately 1" below top edge of stocking.

VIEW B: TUMBLING BLOCK STOCKING
  1. Using pattern piece A, B, and C from pattern Template F, cut (10) pattern piece A from dark fabric (sage green), (10) pattern piece B from medium fabric (green and white print), and (25) pattern piece C from light fabric (white).
  2. Following Template G placement guide, sew (3) rows of pieces C, A, C, B, C, A, C, B, C, and (2) rows of pieces C, B, C, A, C, B, C, A, C. Press seams open.
  3. Sew all (5) rows together following Template G placement guide, pinning and matching points and seams. Press seams open.
  4. Cut (3) 14"x 20" rectangles from backinglining fabric, and (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from batting. Layer backing fabric, batting, and pieced stocking front together. Quilt in the ditch along all seams, or quilt as desired. Layer backing fabric, batting, and lining fabric together, quilt lines 2" apart on the diagonal to create a diamond grid pattern, or quilt as desired.
  5. Place Pattern Template A on quilted stocking front, trace around edge and cut out. Place Pattern Template A REVERSE on quilted stocking back, trace and cut out. With right sides together, pin and sew around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance.
  6. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x WOF strip of lining fabric. Pin to wrong side of stocking seam just sewn, lining up raw edges. Sew strip of fabric along the previously sewn seam. Fold strip over raw edges of seam allowance, turn under 1/4" and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges.
  7. Cut (1) Template C from fabric C (gold), and (1) 4"x 16 1/2" rectangle from batting. Line up batting to wrong side of fabric C along 16 1/2" edge. With right sides together, fold fabric and batting in half and sew seam along 8" edge. Press seam allowance open. Fold excess fabric up to cover batting, lining up raw edges of fabric with batting sandwiched in between.
  8. Turn stocking inside out and pin right side of cuff to lining side of stocking. Sew around the top edge of stocking. Turn stocking right side out and fold down cuff to conceal seam allowance.
  9. Hand sew gold fringe to wrong side of lower edge of cuff.
  10. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 6" strip of cuff fabric for hanging loop. Turn under 1/4" on each 6" length, then fold in half. Stitch along the folded edges of 6" length. Fold in half and hand stitch to inside of left edge of stocking, approximately 1" below top edge of stocking.

VIEW C: QUILTED STAR STOCKING
  1. Make 5 blocks total. For each block, cut (1) 3"x 3" square from fabric A; cut (2) 2 3/4"x 2 3/4" squares, then cut each in half to make 4 triangles from fabric B; cut (2) 3 3/4"x 3 3/4" squares, then cut each in half to make 4 triangles from fabric C; cut (4) 2 1/4"x 2 1/4" squares, then cut each in half to make 8 triangles from fabric D; cut (4) 2 1/4"x 2 1/4" squares, then cut each in half to make 8 triangles from fabric E, cut (4) 2 1/4"x 2 1/4" squares from fabric F.
  2. Sew (4) triangle B's to each side of square A. Tips of triangle B should overlap square A 1/4" on each side. Press seams open.
  3. Sew (4) sets of triangles D and E together along short side. Sew (4) sets of triangles D and E together in reverse order along short side. Press seams open.
  4. Sew D and E units to short sides of triangles C following placement Template D. Press seams open.
  5. Sew (4) squares F to sides of (2) C,D,E units following placement Template D. Press seams open.
  6. Sew (2) C,D,E units to sides of A,B unit following placement Template D. Press seams open.
  7. Sew the (3) rows together following placement Template D to create (1) finished block. Make 5 blocks total.
  8. Cut (3) 2 1/4"x 4" rectangles from fabric F for fillers. Sew blocks and filler rectangles together following placement Template E.
  9. Cut (3) 14"x 20" rectangles from backinglining fabric, and (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from batting. Layer backing fabric, batting, and pieced stocking front together. Quilt in the ditch along all seams, or quilt as desired. Layer backing fabric, batting, and lining fabric together, quilt lines 2" apart on the diagonal to create a diamond grid pattern, or quilt as desired.
  10. Place Pattern Template A on quilted stocking front, trace around edge and cut out. Place Pattern Template A REVERSE on quilted stocking back, trace and cut out. With right sides together, pin and sew around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance.
  11. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x WOF strip of lining fabric. Pin to wrong side of stocking seam just sewn, lining up raw edges. Sew strip of fabric along the previously sewn seam. Fold strip over raw edges of seam allowance, turn under 1/4" and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges.
  12. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 16 1/2" strip of fabric from lining fabric. Fold strip in half and sew short ends together. Press seam open. Turn stocking right side out. With right sides together, pin strip of fabric to right side of upper edge of stocking. Sew strip to top edge of stocking. Fold strip to inside of the stocking, fold over 1/4" of raw edge and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges of seam allowance.
  13. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 6" strip of lining fabric for hanging loop. Turn under 1/4" on each 6" length, then fold in half. Stitch along the folded edges of 6" length. Fold in half and hand stitch to inside of left edge of stocking, approximately 1" below top edge of stocking.

VIEW D: GREEN STRIPE STOCKING
  1. Cut (1 and 1 REVERSE) 14"x 20" rectangles from fabric A (green and white stripe), (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from fabric B (lining), and (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from batting. Layer fabric B, batting, and Fabric A. Quilt straight lines along printed stripes of fabric. Repeat for back of stocking.
  2. Place Pattern Template A on quilted stocking front, trace around edge and cut out. Place Pattern Template A REVERSE on quilted stocking back, trace and cut out. With right sides together, pin and sew around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance.
  3. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x WOF strip of lining fabric. Pin to wrong side of stocking seam just sewn, lining up raw edges. Sew strip of fabric along the previously sewn seam. Fold strip over raw edges of seam allowance, turn under 1/4" and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges.
  4. Cut (1) Template B from fabric C (gold), and (1) 5 1/2"x 16 1/2" rectangle from batting. Line up batting to wrong side of fabric C along 16 1/2" edge. With right sides together, fold fabric and batting in half and sew seam along 11" edge. Press seam allowance open. Fold excess fabric up to cover batting, lining up raw edges of fabric with batting sandwiched in between.
  5. Quilt cuff with horizontal straight lines 1/4" apart. Attach mint floral trim 3/4" in from lower edge of cuff (see placement guide C). Hand sew pink tassel fringe to wrong side of lower edge of cuff.
  6. Turn stocking inside out and pin right side of cuff to lining side of stocking. Sew around the top edge of stocking. Turn stocking right side out and fold down cuff to conceal seam allowance.
  7. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 6" strip of cuff fabric for hanging loop. Turn under 1/4" on each 6" length, then fold in half. Stitch along the folded edges of 6" length. Fold in half and hand stitch to inside of left edge of stocking, approximately 1" below top edge of stocking.

VIEW E: CHECKERBOARD STOCKING
  1. Cut (13) 3 1/4" squares from fabric A (red) and (14) 3 1/4" squares from fabric B (pink). Sew into rows of 4 squares each, alternating fabric A and fabric B. Sew 7 rows together to create a checkerboard.
  2. Cut (3) 14"x 20" rectangles from backinglining fabric, and (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from batting. Layer backing fabric, batting, and pieced stocking front together. Quilt in the ditch along all seams, or quilt as desired. Layer backing fabric, batting, and lining fabric together, quilt lines 2" apart on the diagonal to create a diamond grid pattern, or quilt as desired.
  3. Place Pattern Template A on quilted stocking front, trace around edge and cut out. Place Pattern Template A REVERSE on quilted stocking back, trace and cut out. With right sides together, pin and sew around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance.
  4. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x WOF strip of lining fabric. Pin to wrong side of stocking seam just sewn, lining up raw edges. Sew strip of fabric along the previously sewn seam. Fold strip over raw edges of seam allowance, turn under 1/4" and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges.
  5. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 16 1/2" strip of fabric from lining fabric. Fold strip in half and sew short ends together. Press seam open. Turn stocking right side out. With right sides together, pin strip of fabric to right side of upper edge of stocking. Sew strip to top edge of stocking. Fold strip to inside of the stocking, fold over 1/4" of raw edge and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges of seam allowance.
  6. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x 6" strip of lining fabric for hanging loop. Turn under 1/4" on each 6" length, then fold in half. Stitch along the folded edges of 6" length. Fold in half and hand stitch to inside of left edge of stocking, approximately 1" below top edge of stocking.

VIEW F: PLAID CUFF STOCKING
  1. Cut (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from fabric A (pink), (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from fabric B (red/lining), and (2) 14"x 20" rectangles from batting. Layer fabric B, batting, and Fabric A. Embroider stars per placement guide on Template A, being sure to go through all three layers of material. Repeat for back of stocking.
  2. Place Pattern Template A on quilted stocking front, trace around edge and cut out. Place Pattern Template A REVERSE on quilted stocking back, trace and cut out. With right sides together, pin and sew around stocking using 1/4" seam allowance.
  3. Cut (1) 1 1/2"x WOF strip of lining fabric. Pin to wrong side of stocking seam just sewn, lining up raw edges. Sew strip of fabric along the previously sewn seam. Fold strip over raw edges of seam allowance, turn under 1/4" and hand stitch in place to conceal raw edges.
  4. Cut (1) Template B from fabric C (plaid), and (1) 5 1/2"x 16 1/2" rectangle from batting. Line up batting to wrong side of fabric C along 16 1/2" edge. With right sides together, fold fabric and batting in half and sew seam along 11" edge. Press seam allowance open. Fold excess fabric up to cover batting, lining up raw edges of fabric with batting sandwiched in between.
  5. Turn stocking inside out and pin right side of cuff to lining side of stocking. Sew around the top edge of stocking. Turn stocking right side out and fold down cuff to conceal seam allowance.
