Beginner 1-2 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted floral picks in rainbow colors
  • Vase or container
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Floral foam blocks
  • Knife for cutting floral foam
  • Floral adhesive tape
  • Piece of cardboard

DIRECTIONS:

  1. To create the base of the arrangement, use floral adhesive tape to attach two blocks of floral foam to a piece of cardboard. Use scissors to trim the edges of the cardboard.
  2. Use wire cutters to cut floral picks into smaller pieces.
  3. Starting at one end of the floral foam, begin adding all the blue floral picks, creating a monochromatic design at one end. Add in the purples next, then pink, red, orange, yellow and white at the opposite end. Blend the colors together along the length of the arrangement, adding different textures and height using taller stems.
  4. Add several larger focal flowers throughout the arrangement, making most of the flowers close to the base of the arrangement and then allowing several flowers to add height. Add filler flowers throughout to make sure the floral foam is not visible, while also making sure to keep a clear transition of the different colors to create the rainbow effect.
