Intermediate 3-5 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Preferred cake mix
  • White chocolate ganache recipe
  • Cake pans (either 6" or 8" depending on desired height)
  • Cookies (for decoration)
  • Assorted candies & sprinkles
  • Basic baking tools

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make sure you let your cake cool completely before adding any icing (otherwise it will all melt off).
  2. “Dirty icing" the cake, or applying a thin layer of icing to the cake, and chilling the cake in the refrigerator, will lock all of the crumbs in, maintain moistness and help to create a smooth finish
  3. Once chilled, add a thicker layer of icing to the sides and top, smoothing it out to create an even surface. Chill again to set icing.
  4. After the icing is set, add a ring of colorful white chocolate ganache to the edges, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  5. Decorate your cake with assorted candies, sprinkles, and cookies.
