SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1 yd of white fabric heavy fabric
- 5 yds of five different gathered ribbon, colors of the rainbow
- 1/4 yd of white felt for two clouds
- Black thread to outline the clouds
- Different rainbows colored thread to match ribbon
- Black fringe ball trim to outline edges of fabric
- 3/8"x 36" dowel rod
- 1 1/4 yd of cording to hang rainbow
- Pencil, paper
- Sewing notions
DIRECTIONS:

All seams are 5/8" unless stated.
- Cut out square 36"x 36" of white fabric. Hem sides and bottom with a 5/8" hem. Mark a hem at the top 2". Turn under 1/2", top stitch the edge of hem, leaving a 1 1/2" casing to insert dowel rod.
- Draw with pencil the first color of the outside rainbow. Lay and pin ribbon to the markings. Continue laying and pinning the rest of colors. Look and see if there is any adjustment for the arch of the rainbow. Sew ribbon to white fabric.
- Draw two clouds to fit over the end of rainbow colors out of paper. Cut the two clouds out of felt or two more layers for each cloud if you want more pouf.
- Set up the widest zig zag setting on your sewing machine. Zig zag with a close stitch length with the black thread. If the zig zag shows a lot of white, go over the second time.
- Stitch fringe ball to all four sides.
- Wrap cording to the ends of the dowel rod by tying in a knot to both ends.
