  • Red Sweatshirt
  • Bleach
  • Spray Bottle

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut the top neckline and the sleeve cuffs from the sweatshirt.
  2. Crumple the sweatshirt and secure it in that shape with rubber bands placed randomly around.
  3. Wearing rubber gloves, fill a spray bottle with 1/2 bleach, 1/2 water.
  4. Spray the sweatshirt generously, making sure to soak. Allow it to sit for an hour.
  5. Remove the rubber bands.
  6. Wash the sweatshirt in warm water with mild detergent, rinse and dry.
  7. Try on the sweatshirt and decide the length to crop it. Make sure to add an extra 2" to the length for the drawstring casing.
  8. Cut the bottom edge of the sweatshirt where desired.
  9. Fold the bottom hem up 1" inside the sweatshirt and pin in place.
  10. Sew along the drawstring casing.
  11. Cut two small slits 1" apart in the drawstring casing at the front of the sweatshirt.
  12. Feed the drawstring through the casing. Knot each end of the drawstring.
  13. Position the iron on applique where desired. Iron in place to secure.
