NOTES:
Wall Hanging is worked in intarsia colorwork following Chart.
When working from Chart, read RS rows of Chart from right to left and WS rows from left to right.
When working intarsia use a separate ball for each section of color, do not carry yarn across WS of work between color changes. Twist yarns on WS when changing color to prevent holes in your work.
Wind A into 3 separate balls and wind B, C, and D into 2 separate balls each before beginning.
WALL HANGING:
With A, cast on 53 sts.
Row 1 (WS): With A, purl.
Rows 2-80: Beginning with Row 2 of Chart, work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) and change yarn color following Chart until all 80 rows of Chart have been completed.
Bind off, changing yarn color to bind off with matching yarn colors.
FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
Steam block without allowing iron to touch the yarn.
Fringe
For each fringe, cut an 18 in. (45.5 cm) strand of yarn.
Fold strand in half, With crochet hook draw fold though a st along bound-off end of piece, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop and pull to tighten.
Make a fringe in each st along bound-off edge, matching fringe color to st color.
Trim fringe ends evenly.
