SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Canvas
  • Acrylic paint (cream, green, blue)
  • Medium flat brush
  • Pencil
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue
  • Found objects, scraps, recycled items in blue and green

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Draw a circle in the center of your canvas to be the Earth. You can use a compass or trace a plate to help you draw a circle.
  2. Draw in the continents on the circle.
  3. Paint the background cream, the water area blue and the land green, let dry.
  4. Hot glue the blue and green found elements onto the canvas over the blue and green painted areas. Fill in so as little canvas as possible it showing.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Painting the canvas first will help hide any gaps or spaces in the found objects.
  • Any type of object can be used, string, bottle caps, zippers, necklaces, pompoms, etc. Overlap them when gluing in place to avoid gaps.
