  • Red Heart Super Saver O’Go (Solids: 7 oz/198 g; 364 yds/333 m;

  • Contrast A Dusty Grey (7140), 1 O’Go
  • Contrast B Baby Rainbow (7175), 2 O’Gos
  • Size U.S. H/8 (5 mm] Crochet Hook (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Yarn Needle

  • Small Amount of Black Worsted Weight Yarn for Embroidery.

  • GAUGES:
    • 13 sc and 14 rows = 4"
    • Square Motif = Approx 2 1/2" square.

  • MEASUREMENTS:
    • Approx 17 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" tall.

NOTES:
1) To begin working with O’Go, locate the end of the yarn.
Carefully cut plastic tie where ends of the O’Go meet.
Pull to remove tie. 
Join all rnds with sl st to top of ch-3.
Ch-3 at beg of rnds counts as dc throughout.

SQUARE MOTIF (SEE DIAGRAM 1)
Make 40 with A.
Make 44 with B, breaking yarn as necessary to ensure each Motif is 1 color only.
Ch 4.
1st rnd: 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join. 12 dc.
2nd rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. (2 dc. Ch 1. 2 dc) in next dc. *1 dc in each of next 2 dc. (2 dc. Ch 1. 2 dc) in next dc. Rep from * around. Join. Fasten off.

TRIANGLE MOTIF (SEE DIAGRAM 2)
Make 4 with B, breaking yarn as necessary to ensure each Motif is 1 color only.
Ch 4.
1st row: (WS). 6 dc in 4th ch from hook. 7 dc. Turn.
2nd row: (Ch 3. 1 dc) in first dc (counts as 2 dc). 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. (2 dc. Ch 1. 2 dc) in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 2 dc in last dc.
Fasten off.

RECTANGLE MOTIF (SEE DIAGRAM 3)
Make 2 with A.
Ch 4.
1st rnd: 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join. 12 dc.
2nd rnd: Ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. (2 dc. Ch 1. 2 tr) in next dc. 1 tr in each of next 2 dc. (2 tr. Ch 1. 2 dc) in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. (2 dc. Ch 1. 2 tr) in next dc. 1 tr in each of next 2 dc. (2 tr. Ch 1. 2 dc) in next dc. Join. Fasten off.

FINISHING
FRONT & BACK Sew Square and Triangle Motifs in "B" tog using flat seam as seen in Front and Back Assembly Diagram, placing 4 "A" Motifs in position indicated for Ear.

EARS
(make 2): Sew 4 "A" Square Motifs tog with flat seam as seen in Ear Assembly diagram.

EAR BORDER
Join A with sl st to any corner of Ear. Ch 1. Work sc evenly around 3 edges of Ear working 3 sc in each corner. Fasten off.

GUSSET
Sew rem Motifs tog as seen in Gusset Diagram, noting placement of Rectangle motifs. SEE DIAGRAM 4.

ASSEMBLY
Align top edge of Ear (side without border) to top edge of Front matching placement with 4 "A" squares and pin in place. Rep for second Ear and Back.
Beg at Bottom Right corner of Front and placing WS tog, pin long side edge of Gusset to Front ensuring rectangle motifs of Gusset align with Triangle Motifs of Front.
Joining rnd: With RS of Front facing and beg at bottom right corner, join A with sl st through both thicknesses. Working through all thicknesses, work 1 rnd of sc evenly around entire edge of Front working 3 sc in corner "peaks" and sc3tog in corner "valleys". Join.
Rep Joining rnd to join opposite side edge of Gusset to Back. Stuff Pillow lightly. Sew rem short ends of Gusset tog using flat seam.
With small amount of black yarn, embroider eye with Satin Stitch and mouth with Stem Stitch to both Front and Back as seen in DIAGRAM 5.
